On a routine intelligence mission in Tehran, Jack Ryan, Jr., meets his oldest friend, Seth Gregory. As they part, Seth gives Jack a key and a perplexing message. The next day Jack is summoned by two men who claim Seth has disappearedwith funds for a vital intelligence operation.
